Anka Wittenberg, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer (CDIO) at SAP, is leading the global People Sustainability Department encompassing Diversity & Inclusion and Health. Anka is the pivotal change agent on how to design and implement work relationship at SAP – all together in an inclusive environment based on mutual respect, care and trust. She is responsible for the development and implementation of SAP’s Diversity and Inclusion strategy globally, ensuring sustainable business success. SAP believes that diversity is a source of innovative strength that allows the company to better meet and understand the needs of its customers. Being dedicated to make the world run better and improving people’s life, focusing on a diverse and inclusive environment gives us the foundation to ensure that we deliver innovative solutions for challenges our customers and society as a whole, are facing today and in the future. Anka joined SAP in August 2011 as the global HR Business Partner Lead for the OnPremise Delivery Board Area being responsible for 30,000 employees (2012). In March 2013 she was named Chief Diversity & Inclusion officer globally. She reports directly to Stefan Ries, Chief Human Resources Officer and Member of the SAP Global Managing Board. Prior to joining SAP, Anka Wittenberg gained extensive international HR experience, heading Corporate HR globally at Benteler International AG, where she oversaw 22,000 employees worldwide. Prior to this, Anka held executive HR positions, leading global teams at various corporate environments including General Electric and TRW Automotive. Additionally, Anka Wittenberg is member of the supervisory board of Westfalen AG, Germany and Chair of the Board of the World Childhood Foundation Germany. Anka Wittenberg holds a master degree in Economics and in International Business Management from the University of Hanover, Germany. She is also the mother of three children.
