Wife of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Cherie Blair CBE, QC is a leading barrister with over 35 years’ experience specialising in public law, human rights, employment and European Community law. Mrs Blair is a committed campaigner for human rights and throughout her career has focused on improving access, conditions and equality in the workplace. In 2011, Mrs Blair established the international law firm Omnia Strategy LLP, through which she provides legal and consultancy advice on subjects as varied as improving human rights in business, corporate social responsibility, international arbitration, public international law and cross-border transactions. Mrs Blair is also Founder and Patron of the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women which has been supporting women across Africa, South Asia and the Middle East to build and grow business enterprises since 2008. She is Honorary Chair of the World Justice Project, and Associate Member of Matrix Chambers. Mrs Blair was awarded the Commander of the British Empire in 2013 for services to women’s issues and charity in the UK and overseas.
