Ana Belén Elgoyhen has a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Buenos Aires. She is a Senior Researcher from the Argentine National Research Council, a Professor at the University of Buenos Aires School of Medicine and Pharma, and a Workgroup Leader of the Tinnitus Research Initiative in Germany. Ana Belén Elgoyhen is a PEW Foundation and Guggenheim Foundation fellow as well as a scholar of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Recognised for her seminal contributions to the molecular basis of hearing, she has been distinguished with several awards including the L´Oréal UNESCO For Women in Science.
