Rachel was appointed Global Head of People, Performance and Culture in 2009. She is a member of the KPMG Global Management Team and currently based in London, UK having recently returned from a three year secondment to Hong Kong. Having studied Politics at the University of Durham, Rachel qualified as chartered accountant in 1993 and became partner in 2000, her various clients have included Standard Chartered Bank, Pinewood Film Studios, Allied Domecq and Nestlé. Rachel was appointed Head of People for KPMG UK in 2003. During this time the firm won the Sunday Times ‘Best Big Companies to Work For’ Award three times and was awarded a lifetime achievement award in 2009. Rachel is an active participant in a number of key corporate and social responsibility agendas. She has served on UK Board of Enactus and Race for Opportunity (BITC) and was a non-Executive Director of the UK Government’s Department of Energy and Climate Change. She is also an Advisory Council member of the Prince of Wales’ Accounting for Sustainability Project. In 2007 Rachel was recognised as Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. She has also featured in HR Magazine’s most influential practitioner list and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (England & Wales) and Institute of Personnel Development. Rachel is married with three young children.
